Help people connect with the difference their support makes
At St Vincent’s Hospice, every donation helps us provide specialist palliative and end of life care to local patients and families.
We are recruiting an Individual Giving Manager as part of a coordinated recruitment campaign across our income generation team. Following a review of how responsibilities are organised, we have shaped complementary roles with a clear focus on building relationships, delivering effective fundraising and providing excellent supporter care.
About the role
You will lead our individual giving portfolio, covering donations and appeals, regular giving, in-memory fundraising, legacies and our relationship with the external lottery provider.
Reporting to the CEO, you will develop engaging campaigns and supporter journeys that welcome new donors, retain existing supporters and build sustainable income.
Working with fundraising, communications, finance and clinical colleagues, you will explain the impact of support clearly and sensitively. You will also use data and feedback to understand what works and improve future activity.
Compassion is central to this role, particularly when communicating with bereaved supporters or people considering a gift in their Will.
What you will bring
You may have fundraising experience, or bring strong skills from communications, marketing, campaign delivery, supporter engagement or a related role.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Plan and deliver engaging campaigns and communications.
- Write clearly, tell compelling stories and explain the impact of support.
- Build positive relationships with a range of people.
- Use information and feedback to improve results.
- Organise competing priorities and take responsibility for agreed outcomes.
- Communicate with sensitivity, discretion and compassion.
You do not need experience across individual giving, in-memory fundraising, legacies and lottery to apply. We welcome relevant transferable skills, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
Working with us
We offer a supportive working environment, generous annual leave, a pension scheme, professional development, employee wellbeing support and free onsite parking.
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available, with occasional evening and weekend work where required.
How to apply
Please read the job description and person specification, then send your CV and covering letter to recruitment@svh.co.uk, or complete the application form on our vacancies page.
In your application, tell us how your experience and transferable skills would help you
Closing date: 11 November 2026
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place before the closing date. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a suitable candidate is appointed, so we encourage you to apply promptly.
