Help grow the support that makes hospice care possible
At St Vincent’s Hospice, the generosity of our communities helps us provide specialist palliative and end of life care to local patients and families.
We are recruiting a Fundraising Manager as part of a coordinated recruitment campaign across our income generation team. Following a review of how responsibilities are organised, we have shaped complementary roles with a clear focus on building relationships, delivering effective fundraising and providing excellent supporter care.
About the role
You will lead our community fundraising, corporate partnerships and events programme, taking responsibility for agreed income targets, budgets and activity plans.
Reporting to the CEO, you will develop opportunities, build lasting relationships and manage our Fundraiser and Income Generation Assistant. You will also work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to coordinate activity and ensure supporters receive thoughtful, consistent communication.
This role combines planning and team leadership with hands-on fundraising. You will help colleagues turn ideas into practical activity, monitor progress and adapt plans where needed.
What you will bring
You may already work in fundraising, or bring relevant skills from business development, sales, account management, communications, marketing, events or community engagement.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Build positive relationships and identify opportunities for support.
- Plan and deliver activity against agreed objectives.
- Guide and support colleagues, drawing on management, project leadership or supervisory experience.
- Communicate confidently and make a clear case for support.
- Take responsibility for results, learn from feedback and follow through on commitments.
You do not need experience across every fundraising discipline. We welcome transferable skills and the motivation to develop your knowledge.
Working with us
We offer a supportive working environment, generous annual leave, a pension scheme, professional development, employee wellbeing support and free onsite parking.
Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available alongside the community presence, evening and weekend activity required by the role.
How to apply
Please read the job description and person specification, then send your CV and covering letter to recruitment@svh.co.uk, or complete the application form on our vacancies page.
In your application, tell us how your experience and transferable skills would help you succeed in this role.
Closing date: 11 November 2026
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place before the closing date. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a suitable candidate is appointed, so we encourage you to apply promptly.
