Fundraising and Events Volunteer

We are looking for outgoing and enthusiastic volunteers to support our fundraising events either on a one off basis or as a more regular commitment.

Duties will be event dependant but may include:

  • Bucket Collections.
  • Event preparation (i.e. Administration tasks).
  • Physical event set up.
  • Marshalling or assisting at events.

Skills required:

  • Reliable and honest.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

Time commitment:

As and when required. We run events throughout the year so this would be a flexible role and details would be shared before each event.

Training, support and benefits:

  • A full induction and further skills training to enable you to fulfil your role as required.
  • A staff member will support you throughout your time as a volunteer.
  • 20% discount in our community charity shops.

    Are there any further circumstances that you would like us to be aware of or any medical conditions that we need to consider?

    Please give details of 2 persons we can contact to give you a character reference e.g. long standing friend or neighbour. These should not be relatives and at least one should have no existing connection with St Vincent’s Hospice.
