St Vincent’s Hospice is looking for the next superstar to join our Support Services Team! We are seeking a responsible, hands-on, and motivated Facilities Operations Manager to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our hospice facilities.
About Us
St Vincent’s Hospice is a specialist palliative care provider with an 8-bed In-Patient Unit, a Day Services Hub at the hospice, and five retail stores across Renfrewshire. Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care and support to individuals and families affected by life-limiting conditions.
Your Role & Responsibilities
In this vital role, you will oversee the management of essential support services, ensuring the hospice remains a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leadership & Team Management – Overseeing Catering, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Estates teams to ensure high-quality services across the hospice.
Health & Safety Management – Ensuring all activities comply with statutory, national, and local governance requirements.
Budgetary Management – Setting, managing, and monitoring revenue and capital budgets for all operational functions.
Operational Management – Conducting regular one-to-ones, annual appraisals, and performance reviews for your team.
Asset & Risk Management – Managing asset registers, planned and preventative maintenance schedules, and risk assessments to maintain a safe environment.
Facilities Planning & Maintenance – Working alongside the Head of Support Services to implement the facilities management and maintenance programme.
Rate of Pay & Hours of Work
Full-time position – 37.5 hours per week
Annual salary: £32,500
Participation in an out-of-hours emergency rota, with additional remuneration
