Volunteer Driver – Market Sales

Location: Various local markets and community events (travel between St Vincent’s Hospice, Howwood and event locations)

Do you enjoy being on the road and supporting your community? We’re looking for Volunteer Drivers to help our market sales team transport goods, equipment, and team members to local events.

As part of our retail team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our market stalls run smoothly. Every mile you drive helps support the sale of goods that contribute to funding compassionate care for patients and families in our community.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys driving, working as part of a team, and being involved in community events.

Duties include:

  • Driving the hospice transit van to and from market locations

  • Loading and unloading stock and equipment

  • Assisting with stall set up and pack down

  • Ensuring goods and equipment are transported safely

  • Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues

  • Supporting the market team as required

Skills required:

  • Full UK driving licence and confidence driving a transit van

  • Reliable, responsible, and organised

  • Ability to assist with lifting and moving stock

  • Friendly and able to work as part of a team

  • Positive attitude and willingness to support fundraising activities

Time commitment:

This role typically involves early weekend mornings to align with market trading times. Flexibility is needed depending on event schedules, with tasks including transporting stock, setting up stalls, and returning goods.
