Put your organisation and people skills to work for local hospice care
At St Vincent’s Hospice, accurate administration, thoughtful supporter care and well-organised activities all help turn community generosity into care for patients and families.
We are recruiting an Income Generation Assistant as part of a coordinated recruitment campaign across our income generation team. Following a review of how responsibilities are organised, we have shaped complementary roles with a clear focus on building relationships, delivering effective fundraising and providing excellent supporter care.
About the role
This varied role combines administration and customer service with practical coordination across fundraising and retail.
You will process donation information, maintain supporter records, prepare acknowledgements and help ensure enquiries are handled promptly and professionally.
You will also coordinate bookings and arrangements for bucket collections, talks and collecting cans, working closely with the Fundraiser. Other responsibilities include Gift Aid administration, retail loyalty cards and pop-up shop arrangements.
Alongside this, you will coordinate hospice reception volunteer rotas, help arrange induction and training, and provide day-to-day practical support to volunteers.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you will work with colleagues across individual giving, retail, finance and volunteering to keep agreed activity organised and on track.
What you will bring
You may have experience in administration, customer service, retail, events, sales support or another role involving accurate records and working with people.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Organise bookings, records, rotas and follow-up actions.
- Work accurately with information and figures.
- Communicate clearly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Contact venues, groups and businesses with confidence.
- Use everyday IT systems and learn new processes.
- Take initiative while recognising when to seek advice.
You do not need previous fundraising, Gift Aid or hospice experience. Training will be provided in relevant systems and procedures.
Working with us
We offer a supportive working environment, annual leave plus public holidays, a pension scheme, relevant training and development, employee wellbeing support and free onsite parking.
The role is primarily hospice-based, with local travel and occasional evening or weekend work to support agreed activities.
