Gift Shop Volunteer – Pop-Up Events

Location: Various community venues and local events (travel to different locations may be required)

Do you enjoy meeting new people and being part of community events? We’re looking for friendly volunteers to support our pop-up gift shop, helping us raise vital funds for St Vincent’s Hospice.

As part of our retail and fundraising team, you’ll represent the hospice at events, engaging with customers and helping to sell a range of items including gifts, accessories, and seasonal products. Every sale helps support compassionate care for patients and families in our community.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys customer interaction, working in a team, and being involved in local events.

Duties include:

  • Setting up and packing down pop-up stalls at events

  • Displaying items such as jewellery, accessories, and gifts attractively

  • Welcoming and engaging with customers, answering questions about the hospice

  • Handling sales, including cash and card payments

  • Promoting donations and supporting fundraising activities

  • Helping keep the stall organised, tidy, and well-stocked

Skills required:

  • Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused

  • Reliable, organised, and punctual

  • Comfortable handling money and interacting with customers

  • Willingness to assist with lifting, carrying, and setting up equipment

  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

Time commitment:

This role typically involves weekend or occasional weekday events. Shifts are flexible depending on event schedules, and volunteers can choose which events to attend based on availability.
