Location: St Vincent’s Hospice, Howwood
Do you have a love of books and an eye for detail? We’re looking for volunteers to join our eBay team, helping us turn donated books into vital funds for St Vincent’s Hospice.
As part of our online retail team, you’ll play a key role in identifying, researching, and preparing books for sale on our eBay store. Every book sold directly supports compassionate care for patients and families in our community.
This role is perfect for anyone interested in books, sustainable reuse, or online selling.
Duties include:

Sorting donated books and identifying those suitable for online sale

Researching book titles, editions, and resale value

Preparing books for sale by checking condition and writing accurate descriptions

Photographing books and assisting with creating eBay listings

Supporting with organisation and management of book stock
Skills required:

Interest in books and literature

Good attention to detail, particularly when checking editions and condition

Organised, reliable, and punctual

Comfortable using a computer or willing to learn basic eBay processes

Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
Time commitment:
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a few hours per week. There is flexibility depending on stock availability and team needs, with opportunities to increase hours during busy periods.
