Storytelling with Anne Pitcher – Friday 17th May 2-3pm

As part of LEAP’s ‘Feel Good Festival’, come and join local Storyteller Anne Pitcher as she weaves tales of quirky local characters, places, creatures and folktales, mingled with some sing-a-long songs.

Travel though time discovering how the Clochoderick Stone came to be in a local field, encounter Kilbarchan’s famous 15th century piper, Habbie Simpson ‘Raising the Wind’, be amazed at the true 20th Century story of ‘The Great Kilbarchan Laundry Robbery’ and much more.

Anne lives in the old Police House, Station and Jail in Kilbarchan, built in 1833.  She has told and collected stories locally and around the world, to every age group.
