St Vincent’s Hospice “the little hospice with the big heart” has been serving the communities of Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire for 35 years. Our current Chair is due to retire in 2023 and we are now seeking an exceptional individual to succeed her and to lead our board in the next phase of our development.
This is not a role for the faint-hearted! Hospices in general are in a difficult financial position following the disruption to fundraising caused by COVID, severe constraints to public sector funding and rapidly increasing cost pressures. We have excellent senior leaders at the hospice and the role of the new Chair will be a pivotal one to ensure they have all of the Board support they need as we navigate challenging times ahead.
